User Flow

A user flow document (also known as a "task flow") demonstrates the step-by-step elements required to allow the user to accomplish their objectives. Unlike sitemaps, wireframes and page layouts which create a visual architecture for what pages will look like, user flows provide the opportunity to address users' needs before the visual design process begins.

Whether it takes place within one location or contains a cross-device experience, planning for every single choice and all potential outcomes and actions from that selection are crucial to developing a solid end product and user experience.
